Reserved a rental car for today to go to omaha and return it tomorrow. Ubered to the airport to pick it up and when I handed the lady my card and id she said they only take credit cards. Not debit cards that say visa on it which is a credit card company strictly credit and there was nothing that can be done not pay a big deposit or have your credit run like I've had done at other rental companys and was no problem. I even rented from dollar there sister company at the same location last November with the same debit card with no issues. Since I don't use credit cards they couldn't rent to me and refused to reimburse me for my uber ride there and back. Also ruined my plans and cost me 93 dollars for my hotel I had booked in omaha. On a social issue why do they want people to use strictly credit cards are rental company's in bed with credit card company's to bury the American people in as much debt as possible!
It is what it is. Thrifty isn't a top tier company but they were fine. I don't normally rent from them but I wouldn't hesitate to rent again.
Refused to let my wife use her credit card without forwarning her that it couldn't be a card associated with her bank account. Then recommended another servicer instead of theirs. Slimey.
I like the car and weekend price we got however I was not impressed by the fact I wanted to rent it a day longer and the price went from 9.99 to 168.00 ??? Thats ridiculous. I realize there is a different in price from weekday to weekend but those prices are totally unreasonable. I will probably go somewhere else after this inconvenience. Sincerely Teffiny Olson
This place is bs made online reservations and even called the night before to find out what i needed to bring with told me i was fine using my debt card get here and they tell me a need a return flight in order to use it screw this place will never use them again...
