Awesome public art experience. All of the sculptures are pretty amazing and great stuff to do around the park as well- bars, restaurants, etc. Great free option to spend time in DSM.
Lovely park right in the city. Some great sculptures. Very nice location for a stroll and there are many restaurants near by. Also a jackpot for poke stops if you are into pokemon. The kids actually request that we take them there. Clean and well maintained in a safe area.
This is a fantastic area in Downtown's Western Gateway Park. The sculptures frequently show up in advertisements for Des Moines and that's for good reason. The area is very popular and home to many festivals and events throughout the year. It's a great spot to walk around after a romantic dinner or to enjoy with family.
There are about 10-15 outdoor sculptures here that are really quite cool. They're worth checking out if in the area, but not worth driving out of your way to come visit. They also haven't really changed anything over the last 10 years.
Popular Pokemon Go stop. The place is always packed. Kids, teens, and adults go there. The place offers beautiful views too. There are food places nearby, and even some food trucks that offer great food! I ate a Gyro there from a food truck and it was absolutely delicious, and the guy who owned the truck was extremely friendly. He even accepted my debit card!
