I was with a group of 5 people with mental disabilities. Jane the woman who ran our tour was patient and kind. Jane explained everything in terms we all could understand, she was personable and funny. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
The parking lot is not very big but street parking is allowed on the surrounding streets. Also many concerts offer valet parking, often worked by college students from nearby Drake University, and this can be a very helpful option on dark or cold nights.
Always love the performances at Hoyt Sherman Place. Jewel's Family Christmas was down home fun and her singing is unique. Thoroughly enjoyed!
This place is beautiful! I have many fond memories here. I recommend enjoying a show or just browsing the art here.
I have only been here twice, both times in the Theater which is beautifully ornate and not so huge that you feel isolated if you happen to be seated near the back. I was fortunate to be in the third row of the main seating area for a concert recently and I had a great view of the stage. The seats are pretty comfortable too.
Been here several times. Tonight it's Wynonna! Not really a bad seat here, very intimate, great acoustics. A beautiful, historic venue that is treated as such by the concert goers. Highly recommended for any show.
