Went there for name change on SSN. Got in and out in less than 10 mins. Very friendly and helpful.
Fastest I have ever been in and out of a Social Security office. Everyone was very polite and cheerful.
Wow, only open until noon on Wednesday, and 4 the rest of the week. I guess if you work daytime hours like me and my wife, you're just out of luck. The only afternoons we can get off are Wednesdays.
From the manager on down this office needs retrained before serving as a representative of the Social Security Administration. This is the type of service that comes from having a job you are not able to be fired from.
Very incompetent staff, unwilling to give print out of changes made in person at their office. Going to hope that they are retrained for the federal mandate that states you are to be given copies of your file when requested. Doesn't know if you are eligible for food stamps in Iowa or if you are given a state supplement on the SSI check.
I'm very disappointed in their service. I was told I would get a phone call - never did. I was told they would send a letter out by next week - it's three weeks since and haven't seen it. When I called to check the status, I was told only one person could handle it and they were busy so I could leave a message. This is the same person who didn't call or send the letter. I try to give them to benefit of the doubt, realizing they are probably really swamped. Okay. Meet me in the middle. As a person with a child fighting cancer, it just doesn't feel right that they are completely ignoring us.
