Me and my wife went to Car Hop to get her a car. She bought a 2005 Buick Lacrosse about 3 or 4 months ago. It has been in the shop every month. Now the check engine light is on. I just had to replace the heater motor and resister. The blowing motor came from a junk yard and someone had wired it by putting a resister in between the wire's. It's really a wonder the car didn't burn up. The driver side door has came off got to get it fixed now. So in my opinion don't go to Car Hop in Des Moines Iowa.
Bought a car from them 3 weeks ago. I was stopped twice in 12 hours for illegal tint on the windows and lights. I had to get the window tint removed and still looking for someone to remove the tint sprayed on the lights and tail lights. When I called the 800 number yesterday they told me to get receipts and they would go from there. Today they tell me it's not their problem. It's not ok. They did not tell me this tint was illegal. I'm thinking they can have this car back. It has other problems that I was willing to fix but I feel it was quite shady to sell the car with all this illegal tint and not disclose it.
Had an awesome experience. James the sales guy was super nice. Wasn’t pushy with my buy and gave me plenty of options to work with. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good service.
I just have to say I'm super excited about my experience at Car Hop. I have no credit and my car broke down and I had to get to work and school. I went to multiple different dealerships and nobody would help. All hope was lost I thought, then someone told me to go to Car Hop. I was leery at first, given the reputation they had. But after going there and meeting Ursula and James I am now driving a great car, rebuilding my credit and getting back and forth from work and school with no problems. If you have credit challenges I would definitely recommend them. Their cars may not be brand new, but they are definitely there to help.

Update: After I posted about this car hop responded asking me to email them. The next day I got a call, multiple apologies, they are reimbursing for the tint I had removed and ordering new head lights and tail lights. Thank you for making it right.
