Little did I know that we would be bringing my Fur-Boy, Beau, a 10 yr. old Lab to Avondale for surgery right after Thanksgiving. When I called to make the appointment I felt a little less anxious knowing Dr. Williamson would be his surgeon and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he could get the procedure done. My Beau had three large fatty tumors (thankfully non-cancerous) removed and I could not be happier with the care both Beau and I received!
All the staff is kind and knowledgeable. They are happy to answer all my questions and listen to my concerns. I appreciate that they're open 7 days a week and they can always squeeze me in day of if an emergency arises. No need to wait days to get my cats looked at.

Our family will forever be thankful for Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Clinic for the care and treatment they have given to our dog Rosebud for the past 9 years. When Rosebud was one years old, she needed to have a double knee replacement or be put to sleep because she couldn't walk. After collaborating with the Veterinarians and Therapists, we agreed to the surgery and a comprehensive recovery plan using their underwater treadmill, and laser therapy. Rosebud healed great and even became a therapy dog bringing joy to others. Avondale Veterinary Healthcare and Clinic is a trustworthy and will do what it takes to ensure our pets lead healthy and happy lives.
This fall I loaded up two scared crying young girls & one kitten who was bleeding from his eye and nose. It was evening when I called Avondale while driving to their facility and they were ready and waiting for us when we arrived. My daughter's 4 month old kitten, Tiger, received great care from Dr. Williamson and Staff. They set our minds at ease, letting us know it was a minor injury and my Girls even go to listen to Tiger's heartbeat!
Dr. Williamson & her staff are FANTASTIC and I would highly recommend them! They take their time to listen to your concerns while providing top notch care to our 4-legged loved ones. They are thorough, trustworthy, skilled, knowledgeable, personable and caring! I am not easy to please (especially when it comes to my Beau) and they have repeatedly went above and beyond! Thank you Dr. Williamson and Avondale for sharing your gift of healing with my family!!
Avondale is a top notch full service veterinary clinic, from grooming to boarding to medical services. The staff is knowledgeable and very caring of my dogs. They do a good job of keeping me informed on all the services they are providing too. They aren’t the cheapest vet clinic around but you truly do “get what you pay for”.
I highly recommend Avondale to all my friends. I know they'll get the best service possible.
I really enjoy they have a cat hospital separate from the main vet, so my cats don't feel extra stresses by dogs. One of the exam room even has a fish tank that my youngest cat adores.
Driving to Iowa from Florida one of our dogs injured a hip. Having been customers of Avondale 20 years prior, their care was familiar to us so we contacted them for an appointment. Their response was the same day and we had an appointment for the day we arrived to town. The vet spent 1 1/2 hours with us and provided a comprehensive treatment plan. The care and knowledge were as fantastic as we had remembered. I would recommend the facility, vets and boarding options to anyone. Top notch care for your pets!
