IT IS A BUS TRANSIT STATION !!--- Who DOESN'T RATE Public Transit Givingly, when you can't seem to find a Vehicle to get to Necessary Appointments , or Other Help, to Transport from Point A to Point B !! (---The Critics only give Poor Ratings...) At least Public Transit is getting Better here, from MY Opinion only.... Thanks for being there for people like me. A Disabled Veteran...
Buses are always late or never even show up. Drivers pass stops and just ignore you if you say something. Worst of all I don't believe they've had proper training. They start driving before you even sit down.
Despite some shortcomings this recently renovated station is actually pretty nice. A good central location to get around greater Des Moines.
Easy to catch a bus at. You have a comfortable place to wait for the bus you need. You can go to the restroom if you need to.
Buses are never on schedule and the staff is extremely rude, everytime I take the bus the bus drivers are hectic at driving and careless. Always feel extremely uncomfortable using the buses or being at the bus station. Once saw an employee yelling in an extremely un called for manner at an aquired disability elderly for not being directly on the cross walk when there were only one total bus anywhere near the station. They may have to enforce the rules but they can do it in a more civil manner. Strongly dislike using the dart system and wish places were more local to bike to rather than experiencing what I do everytime I use a bus.
